Steven Jones Jr.

Steven Arthur Jones Jr. is an American professional poker player and real-estate entrepreneur. Originally from Michigan, he now lives in Arizona, where he owns JR Jones Realty, a real-estate business serving the Phoenix metropolitan area and Las Vegas. A graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in business management, Jones has built a career in property sales, investment, renovation, and development.

Introduced to poker by his mother at age 10, Jones initially balanced the game with his real-estate career before gradually shifting his focus to professional poker. He has appeared on popular livestreams such as Hustler Casino Live and The Lodge and studied under established professionals Alex Foxen and Chance Kornuth.

Outside poker, Jones gained wider recognition as Player 183 on Season 2 of Netflix's "Squid Game: The Challenge" in 2025. His path to Netflix began when he applied for the dating show "Love Is Blind" and was encouraged to audition for "Squid Game: The Challenge" instead. He has said that his poker experience and ability to read people helped him navigate the show's social competition.

Known for his playful personality at the poker table, Jones occasionally wears a clown nose during televised games, keeping one in his poker backpack as a signature prop. Away from the tables, he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with his family and his dogs, Onyx, Poochie, and Itty Bitty. He has also taken part in charity poker events supporting the Stacy Fuson Foundation.
