Shaun Frank Deeb

Shaun Deeb is an American professional poker player from Troy, New York, known for his extensive online poker career, expertise in mixed games, and outspoken personality. He began playing cards as a child, learning poker and other games from his grandmother. After about a year at Bentley University, he left to pursue poker professionally.

Deeb rose to prominence in online poker under the screen names “shaundeeb” and “tedsfishfry.” The latter refers to Ted’s Fish Fry, his family’s restaurant business in New York’s Capital Region. He later moved from online multi-table tournaments into live poker and mixed games. His sharp table talk and tendency to needle opponents helped make him one of poker’s most colorful personalities.

Off the tables, Deeb is a husband and father of two. He and his wife, Ashley, have been involved in real estate and restaurant ventures. He is also part of Team Lucky, a close-knit group of poker professionals that includes Josh Arieh, Daniel Weinman, and Matt Glantz. The group’s friendship grew in part through playing Fortnite together.

In 2023, Deeb drew attention beyond poker by taking on businessman Bill Perkins in a high-profile body-fat challenge. He chronicled his fitness journey on his YouTube channel, "MillionDollarDeeb", and lost more than 80 pounds before the wager was settled in early 2024. Known for his competitive spirit, humor, and outspoken opinions, Deeb remains a recognizable figure in both online and live poker.
