Robert Yong

Rob Yong is a British businessman and poker entrepreneur best known for founding Nottingham’s "Dusk Till Dawn" poker club, which opened in 2007. The idea came after Yong and longtime friend Nick Whiten were turned away from a tournament for arriving one minute late, prompting them to open their own poker room.

Before establishing himself in poker, Yong worked in recruitment and started his own business from his room with a fax machine. Beyond cardrooms, he also founded "Luxon Pay", a payments company.

A high-stakes poker player and avid enthusiast of Pot-Limit Omaha, Yong is also involved in the game's business and development. In 2019, he launched “FairPlay”, an initiative to help online poker sites, live tours, and cardrooms share information about cheating.

Outside poker, Yong was previously chairman of Eastwood Town Football Club. His younger sister inspired the Tishie Yong Foundation for the Disabled (also known as DTD Charity), where he is listed as a trustee. The foundation supports projects that improve disabled people’s quality of life.
