Pier Papadia

Pierpaolo Papadia, known on stream simply as Pier, is a professional cash-game poker player associated with Poker At The Lodge. Originally from Rome, Italy, he has often visited Texas to play at the Lodge and other poker rooms, building ties to the state’s live poker scene.

He was introduced to poker in childhood, playing five-card draw for fun. During the early-2000s poker boom, he began playing sit-and-go games with friends at home - an early step in his progression from casual games to a poker career.

Pier describes becoming a professional as a gradual process rather than a carefully planned career move. He kept playing and improving without pointing to a single moment when he decided poker would be his profession. Pier says the competitive aspect of the game is what he enjoys most.

He considers resilience his greatest strength, emphasizing his willingness to push through difficult stretches. Pier names the Lodge as his favorite poker room and also speaks positively about major rooms in Las Vegas. Beyond poker, one simple personal preference stands out: his favorite meal is pasta.
