Michael Mizrachi

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi is an American professional poker player from South Florida, known for his aggressive, unpredictable playing style and charismatic table presence. A longtime figure in live and online poker, he earned his nickname early in his online career, when he played under the screen name "Michael34." His induction into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2025 further cemented his status as one of poker's most recognizable personalities.

Before turning professional, Mizrachi worked as a poker dealer. He later co-founded the Mizrachi Dealer Academy with his older brother, Robert Mizrachi, and longtime friend Stacy Matuson to help aspiring dealers develop professional casino skills. Poker runs in the family: Robert is an accomplished professional player, while Michael’s twin brother, Eric, also shares the family’s connection to the game. Mizrachi began playing at a young age, recalling childhood games of five-card draw for baseball cards and comic books.

Beyond competition, Mizrachi has established a presence in poker entertainment and business. He became a GGPoker Global Ambassador in October 2025 and hosts “Grinder’s Game,” a cash-game livestream associated with Venetian Poker Live. He has also appeared in AngelAi advertising campaigns and collaborated with poker brands and media projects. His outgoing personality, engaging table talk, and willingness to interact with opponents have made him a familiar presence on televised and livestreamed poker shows.
