Julien Martini

Julien Martini is a French professional poker player originally from Paris, known online as “KroolhearT”. He discovered poker in 2006 and developed his skills through both online games and live cash games. Before becoming a full-time professional, Martini worked in sales. In 2017, he left his corporate career and moved to Taiwan to study poker with high-stakes player James Chen.

Martini is particularly experienced in live cash games, online poker, and mixed-game formats. Beyond playing professionally, he has shared his expertise through "Méthode Cash Game", a French-language poker training program launched in 2021. He has also coached former professional footballer Sébastien Grax, helping him transition into competitive poker. Martini represented PMU Poker as an ambassador and Team Pro member before their partnership ended in January 2026.

Away from the tables, Martini met fellow poker player Kate Hoang at the 2018 World Series of Poker, and they married in September 2019. A lifelong Manchester United supporter, he has said his passion for the club partly inspired his move to Manchester. He has also taken part in charity poker streams supporting hospital workers and drawn inspiration for his streaming from his friendship with professional Warcraft III player Yoan “ToD” Merlo.

Based in Las Vegas as of 2026, Martini has increasingly focused on balancing his professional career with personal interests. He has spoken about prioritizing physical fitness, sleep, and mental wellbeing while developing new passions for art and driving on racetracks. His combination of professional poker experience, coaching, international lifestyle, and interests outside the game makes him a recognizable personality in the French poker community.
