Jayphong Nguyen

Jay “JWIN” Nguyen is an Austin-based professional live cash-game player, poker coach, and content creator best known for his appearances on Poker At The Lodge. Before turning to poker full time, he built a substantial corporate career in operations and technology.

Nguyen has said he spent roughly seven years at Apple, primarily in supply chain and operations, before later working as an early director at health-tech company Everlywell. He also served as chief operating officer of Austin digital-marketing company Intellibright and attended business school at the University of Texas at Austin.

His move into professional poker was deliberate rather than impulsive. Nguyen has said that he and his wife agreed on financial goals and a trial period before he left his corporate career, and his YouTube biography describes him as walking away from six-figure job to pursue poker full time. He had already been playing semi-professionally alongside his career before making the transition.

Beyond playing, JWIN has built a public poker presence through his JWIN Poker YouTube channel and work with PokerCoaching, where he has produced strategy content focused on live cash games and bomb pots. His background in corporate operations, business, coaching, and content creation gives him an unusual profile among regular cash-game players.
