Eric Chang

Eric “Slick Ric” Chang is a professional poker player and content creator who has appeared on Hustler Casino Live. Alongside his time at the tables, he maintains a public presence under the slickricpoker handle across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, and Twitch.

A Columbia University graduate, Chang took an unconventional path from corporate work to professional poker. He says his first job after college was in Pepsi’s strategy group, and his public biography states that he left a six-figure job in December 2022 to pursue poker full time.

Chang has described playing mainly online during college, becoming more serious about the game during the pandemic, and later moving from New York to Dallas to pursue his poker career. He has also received coaching from Jonathan Little, with their work featured in a series for PokerCoaching Premium members.

His content combines the everyday experience of a poker professional with accessible educational material. He says he began making TikToks to document his transition into professional poker, while his YouTube videos cover subjects such as study routines, table etiquette, bankroll management, and life away from the tables.
