Brian Lamkin

Brian Lamkin is an Austin, Texas–linked businessman and longtime poker player whose public background extends well beyond the card room. He is the owner of Flooring Solutions, Inc., a commercial and multifamily flooring company serving projects across Texas.

Lamkin founded Flooring Solutions in 2002, reportedly starting the business from the dining-room table of his apartment. A company banking profile says he went nearly three years without taking a paycheck while building the business, making his entrepreneurial story one of the more distinctive parts of his background.

Poker has also been a long-term part of Lamkin’s life. A 2006 profile said he had already been playing for roughly two decades, while a later World Poker Tour interview described his approach as “small-ball,” with an emphasis on carefully picking his spots.
