Benny Blanco is an American record producer, songwriter, and recording artist from Reston, Virginia. Known for his work with some of the biggest names in pop music, he has helped create hits such as Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” and Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger.” He is also the founder of the record labels Mad Love Records and Friends Keep Secrets.

Beyond music, Blanco is also a cookbook author, television personality, and content creator. He published "Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends" in 2024, collaborated on cooking shows with celebrity chef Matty Matheson, and played a fictionalized version of himself on the television comedy "Dave". In 2026, he co-created the podcast "Friends Keep Secrets" with Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco.

Blanco is a recreational poker enthusiast who has appeared on Hustler Casino Live, including the June 2023 episode “The Art Game,” which featured artists and entertainment-industry personalities. Poker has even played an unexpected role in his music career: he once revealed that an Instagram photo from a poker game connected him with a young producer who eventually became his protégé.

Outside poker, Blanco is a highly recognized figure in the entertainment industry, having received the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the BMI President’s Award. He has also drawn mainstream attention through his relationship and musical collaborations with singer and actress Selena Gomez, whom he married in September 2025. Though he appears in high-profile poker games, music and entertainment remain his primary professional focus.
