Andy Tsai

Andy “Stacks” Tsai is a Taiwanese-American professional poker player, born in Taiwan and raised in California, who became a familiar face on Live at the Bike and Hustler Casino Live. Known for his calm, quiet table presence, his “Stacks” nickname comes from the tall towers of chips associated with him.

Before pursuing poker professionally, Andy majored in art and worked as a graphic designer. He initially balanced his design job with playing poker before eventually leaving his job to make the game his profession.

Beyond playing, Andy teaches through Stacks Poker, an education platform serving Chinese-speaking players. His Andy Stacks Poker channel features educational content, discussions, and vlogs, and he also appeared in the first season of the poker reality-competition series Game of Gold.

Andy emphasizes maintaining a life outside poker, describing a routine that includes weights and cardio and encouraging players to make time for family, friends, and other interests to avoid burnout. He also sees vlogging as a source of accountability: explaining his decisions to viewers makes poker more enjoyable and encourages him to play better.
