Aleksa Pavicevic

Aleksa Pavicevic is a Montenegrin businessman and high-stakes poker player with a professional background in hospitality and real estate. Born in Russia, he moved to Montenegro at age 11 and spent much of his youth there before settling in Miami.

Outside poker, Pavicevic works in real estate development with his father in Podgorica. Despite living in the United States, he maintains close ties to Montenegro, returning for at least a month each year to the country he still considers home.

His usual game is pot-limit Omaha cash poker, and he has said he prefers cash games to tournaments. When he does enter tournaments, he enjoys one-day turbo bounty formats, particularly their short-stack action, frequent all-ins and unpredictable swings.

His 2025 trip to Montenegro combined a cousin’s wedding with visits to family and friends and attention to business interests. The trip also brought him to the Triton Invitational at Maestral, a resort he already knew and enjoyed visiting. He entered on the event’s recreational invitee side and invited Alex Foxen to participate as his professional counterpart.
