Alejandro Lococo

Alejandro Lococo, better known as "Papo MC", is an Argentine professional poker player and freestyle rapper from Mar del Plata. His achievements extend beyond poker: he won Argentina’s 2016 Red Bull Batalla national championship and became FMS Argentina’s fourth-season champion in 2023.

Before his entertainment career took off, Lococo worked in sales and at a deli. He also supported himself by improvising rap for passengers on Mar del Plata buses, using words they gave him. He says he was still doing this the day before his breakthrough at the national rap championship.

His work also spans esports and live entertainment. In February 2023, he founded BESTIA, an esports organization that launched with a Counter-Strike team. In May 2024, he and BESTIA became partners in Dtoke’s Liga Bazooka, expanding his involvement in written-battle rap.

As early as 2017, Lococo discussed playing online cash games with a team. He also shares beginner lessons through his PAPOKER video series. He credits battle rap with helping him handle pressure at the table. After facing opponents’ insults before thousands of spectators, ordinary poker table talk feels far less intimidating.
